Rehab Therapist
QUALIFICATIONS:
. Bachelor degree in a health related field (i.e. psychology, kinesiology, nursing), preferably with an emphasis in behavioral or developmental services, required
. Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S) program required
. Experience with a special needs population, preferably in the areas of acquired brain injury, neuro or behavioural rehabilitation programming is required
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
. Knowledge of health policies and legislation preferred
. Good attendance is required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Implement pre-designed rehabilitation activities for adults with acquired brain injury
. Assist in the analysis and implementation of behavioral care and treatment programs for adults with acquired brain injury
. Develop, implement, and collect behavioural data and measurement systems to monitor and evaluate client progression through the rehabilitation process
. Consistently communicate client status to interprofessional team and client/family/caregiver
. Work cooperatively with the inter-professional team and community-based service providers
. Provide education and consultation to families and patients where required
. Demonstrating understanding of, compliance with, and commitment to, patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients
