1. Research Analyst 1
This part-time (0.5 FTE), 12 month contract position is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.
Salary Range: $20.93 – $28.23 per hour
Position Description:
The Better Behaviours Service in the Child, Youth & Family Program is currently seeking a Research Analyst 1 for a part-time, 12-month contract. Reporting to and working closely with the Clinician-Scientist, the successful candidate will assist in conducting two studies evaluating the effectiveness and predictors of treatment outcome of children between the ages of 6 – 12 with disruptive behaviour and their caregivers participating in cognitive-behavioural group treatment services. Responsibilities include: Scheduling and conducting pre-treatment, post-treatment and follow-up research interviews with caregivers and children; data entry and analyses; preparing findings for presentations, peer-reviewed research papers and knowledge transfer activities in the community. In addition, you will be responsible for organizing team research meetings and tracking budget/expenditures. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 250 College Street.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or relevant discipline, combined with one year of related experience. Previous clinical or research experience with children and/or their families is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with database software packages and conducting basic analyses using statistical packages (SPSS) and data interpretation is preferred. You will possess superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication and organization skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Experience with knowledge transfer activities and prior presentation and academic writing experience is an asset. You demonstrate the ability and interest to work with a diverse team and in an environment that values diversity and equity. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset. Occasional evening work may be required.
