The Lady Dunn Health Centre a six (6) year old, 28 bed facility is located in Wawa, Ontario, 142 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie. A great location for the outdoor enthusiast. Lakefront living, beautiful trails for hiking, biking, 4 wheelers and Cross Country Skiing. Golfing in the summer and Curling in the winter.
1. Medical Laboratory Technologist
The applicant must be able to effectively organize work flow by priority and need, perform routine and specialized test procedures. They must demonstrate technical proficiency, effective interpersonal skills, proven problem solving skills with the ability to recognize problems, identify the cause and create alternative solutions. Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Hours of Work: 75 hours Bi-weekly. Weekend and shift work may be required. Equal share of stand by duty evenings and weekends.
Compensation: As per the Part Time Ontario Nurses Association Collective Agreement.
The applicant must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Laboratory Technology Program and either currently have or be eligible for CMLTO registration and obtain registration with the CMLTO within a 2 month period. Currently certified in Transportation of Dangerous goods or willing to complete course within training period. Prior knowledge of Meditech an asset.
