As Legal Counsel, you will provide high-level research and executive support to the Justices of the Court of Queen’s Bench. You must have strong research and analytical skills to assist in the writing of briefs, memorandums, reports, papers, speeches and other materials as required by the Justices. Research may be of a legal, social, institutional, economic or procedural nature.

These responsibilities require an energetic approach and an ability to manage conflicting priorities within short time frames. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential, as well as exemplary written and verbal communication skills. A good working knowledge of the Alberta Rules of Court and both formal and informal procedures in the Court of Queen?s Bench is essential. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player. Collaboration with various internal and external clients will require strong interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

This temporary position will expire on or before January 2, 2012. Final candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening. This competition may be used to fill future permanent and temporary vacancies.
