Nursing Home Attendant (Whitehorse)

Salary: $ 48,612 to $ 55,860 per annum

This is an anticipatory, permanent full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

This position assists nursing personnel in providing direct care to residents (children, adults, seniors) to help meet
their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The position also participates in the development, implementation and
evaluation of nursing care plans.

Essential Qualifications
- Nursing Home Attendant/Home Support Worker certificate or equivalent in a health related field
- Considerable experience providing assistance to long term care residents (children, adults and seniors) in the
activities of daily living.

- Strong commitment to providing a safe, home-like environment for our residents.
- Considerate team player, who is equally comfortable working independently.

Additional Information:
Conditions of Employment: 2 Step TB Test; RCMP Security Clearance; CPR Level C (prior to hire)
Job Requirements: Exposure to second hand smoke; Exposure to animals in the Pet Therapy Program; Heavy lifting
and bending; Shift Work; Exposure to latex products
Eligibility List: 12 Months
