Preferred Health Care Services has an immediate opening for a Casual Foot Care Nurse in long term care residences and community care throughout the Kanata area.
FOOT CARE NURSE – Kanata
RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to):
The Foot Care Nurse is a Registered Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse who has completed the five (5) day “Advanced Nursing Footcare” program offered by a recognized education source or an equivalent program. The Foot Care Nurse provides advanced foot care to residents in long-term care homes, clinics or in the client’s private home. The Foot Care Nurse is responsible for reporting observations regarding the client’s feet to the Charge Nurse or the Family Physician if the client is at home.
EDUCATION:
Must have a current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Completion of a recognized Advanced Foot Care program.
Current BCLS or Heart Saver Certificate an asset.
Current Police and Vulnerable Sector check completed.
Current Medical TB clearance completed.
