Cook (casual), Food Services
Are you a seasoned Cook (Red Seal) with experience working in a healthcare setting? Are you interested in having a flexible work schedule, working in a team based environment and delivering high quality food services? Then consider being a Cook in the Food Services Department at Bridgepoint Hospital, In this role, you will be responsible to the Food Services Production Supervisor for a wide-variety of tasks including:
-preparing food assignments as directed by the Chef or Assistant Chef
-ensuring effective and efficient utilization of food and equipment resources
-participation in and initiation of product development and evaluations
-development of purchasing requirements for special events, using computer applications
-prepares for special events and caterings as required
-reporting of inconsistencies in product utilization and
-any other assignments which may be requested by the management team.
Your background includes related experience preferably in a healthcare setting and a Cook Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal) designated by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities is required. You are thorough and detail oriented in carrying out tasks. As well, you are customer service oriented, professional, positive and have good English communication skills. You enjoy working in a team environment and making a strong contribution to the team.
