POSITION TITLE: Safety & Security Officer
BRANCH: Safety & Security
HOURS OF WORK: 80 hours every 2 weeks (12 hour rotating shifts)
Basic Function: Reporting to the Supervisor of Safety & Security (or designate), the Safety & Security officer is responsible for the protection of all Zoo assets, the safety of staff and public, while providing customer assistance as required.

(5 permanent full-time positions & 2 permanent part-time positions)
Reporting to the Security Group Leader, the Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the protection of all Board properties and assets, and the safety of all Board staff, students and community members as they relate to Board properties. These positions will involve assisting Facility Services management staff by reporting and investigating situations on Board sites that are potentially of an illegal or criminal nature.
